I was very suprised by the size of this book. It is a fairly small book (think workbook size).It includes a study guide in the back of the book, but the answers are not included. (Ask your teacher, they should have them with the teacher's edition of the book).Although small, this book is very indepth. The chapters start out with a quick overview of reproductive anatomy, and how different cultures deal with pregnancy. The book then goes into detail about the fetal growth and stages, changes in the mom and baby throughout these stages, labor and delivery, newborn care, postpartum care, and reproductive issues. The book includes many pictures for those of us that are visual learners! This book is a great reference for any maternity care. It is very in depth and goes above and beyond pregnancy and labor. The book is very easy to understand and I didn't have a hard time getting bored with reading the chapters.I hope I helped a little about what to expect out of the book.If you need this for a nursing class then good luck, you will make it to graduation!!
This is a good book and required for my LPN school in Brentwood. If you need it contact me. I have many books that can be bought on the cheap. This was my first experience ordering a used book. The entire 21 chapters of study guides in the back of the book were ripped out which is what all of my homework for class is based off of. I guess I learned my lesson
